The study program of Government Studies and Political Science has been playing significant roles in building best practices of good governance and political ethics through scientific research and community development and opening a space for academic discussion with the main concern “Social and Political Issues”. These activities are in line with the Universitas Jambi’s vision to be “a world-class entrepreneurship university” based on environment and agrotechnology. As part of the efforts to provide a space for academic dialogue at a global level, we organize an international conference that aims to develop scientific knowledge, build institutional capacity, and strengthen networking.
This conference raises the issue of “The Emerging Technology & Digital Inclusive on Contemporary Social and Political Issues” to capture the phenomenon of social and political issues at local, national, and international levels. The selection of this topic is based on the vision and mission of study programs, faculty, as well as Universitas Jambi.
The conference invites national and international experts. Among those experts are:

The 1st ICSP will be held on October 2-4, 2023, in Swiss-Belhotel, Jambi, Indonesia.
The presenter from other countries will be facilitated virtually by a Zoom meeting.
The 1st ICSP will be conducted in English, but presenters may present their papers in Bahasa Indonesia or Malay.
All of submitted manuscript subject to peer review mechanism. In the reviewing process, there are at least three reviewers for each manuscript for the related topic. However. Author should bear in mind that FINAL DECISION of all acceptance is not their privilage.
All of this submission is fully online below procedure. To guarantee smooth administration, the whole submission process is done fully online and NOT by email. Here is the procedure:

The 1st ICSP committee invites scholars, researchers, experts, and students to submit their papers or attend conferences as participants. Submitted papers must be presented in a parallel session of the conference.

The submitted paper to the 1st ICSP will be processed for publication in Atlantis Press.
The selected paper will be submitted to an indexed journal (Sinta 2/Sinta 3/Sinta 4). Manuscript selection is conducted by the journal editor. Publication & processing costs (1.750.000 IDR) of the manuscript (proceedings) will be transferred to the journal editor.

Pendirian LAM merupakan Amanah UU No 12 tahun 2012 tentang Pendidikan Tinggi, sebagai upaya penjaminan mutu perguruan tinggi dan program studi di Indonesia. Lahirnya Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Bidang Ilmu Sosial, Politik, Administrasi, dan Komunikasi (LAM SPAK) akan berdampak pada proses akreditasi program studi pada bidang-bidang tersebut. Program studi Ilmu Pemerintahan dan Program Studi Ilmu Politik Universitas Jambi merespon terbentuknya Lembaga ini dengan melakukan sosialisasi instrumen. Kegiatan ini akan diselenggarakan pada 3 Oktober 2023.
Jabatan Fungsional Dosen yang selanjutnya disebut Jabatan Akademik Dosen adalah kedudukan yang menunjukkan tugas, tanggung jawab, wewenang dan hak seseorang Dosen dalam suatu satuan pendidikan tinggi yang dalam pelaksanaannya didasarkan pada keahlian tertentu serta bersifat mandiri. Jabatan Akademik/Fungsional Dosen (Jafa) merupakan jabatan keahlian dengan jenjang tingkatan dari yang paling rendah sampai dengan yang paling tinggi, terdiri dari Asisten Ahli, Lektor, Lektor Kepala, serta Profesor.
Untuk mendapatkan Jafa, dosen harus mengajukan penilaian angka kredit dari kegiatan yang diajukan sesuai dengan yang dibutuhkan tiap jenjang.
Unsur kegiatan yang dinilai untuk menentukan angka kredit terdiri atas unsur utama dan unsur penunjang. Unsur utama terdiri dari kegiatan Pendidikan (A), melaksanakan Pendidikan (B), Penelitian (C), Pengabdian pada Masyarakat (D). Unsur Penunjang (E) terdiri dari kegiatan-kegiatan yang mendukung pelaksanaan tugas pokok dosen.
Pertemuan ini merupakan pertemuan tahunan asosiasi KAPSIPI (Kesatuan Program Studi Ilmu Pemerintahan Indonesia) dan ADIPSI (Asosiasi Dosen Ilmu Pemerintahan Seluruh Indonesia). Pada tahun 2023, KAPSIPI dan ADIPSI akan menyelenggarakan pertemuan tahunan di propinsi Jambi bertempat di Swisbell-Hotel, Jambi, Indonesia. Penyelenggara pertemuan ini adalah program studi Ilmu Pemerintahan, Universitas Jambi.
