Jambi - Department of Social and Political Sciences (Joseph) Jambi University (BORED) Holding a public lecture with the theme "Environmental Governance Utilization of Local Natural Resources that are oriented to the welfare of the community", The event took place in the Senate Room of the Rectorate Building of the third floor of Unja Mendalo on Monday (09/12/2024).
As a resource person who is an expert in his field, namely the Regional Secretary of Jambi Province, Dr. H. Sudirman, S.H., M.H., Lecturer of Government Science, Drs. H. Navarin Karim, M.Si., and Study Advocacy Manager & Kampanye Walhi Jambi, Dwi Nanto.
Public lecture activities are opened by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Fauzi Syam, S.H., M.H., He expressed his pride for the participation of the Jambi Province Regional Secretary. H. Sudirman, S.H., M.H., who are willing to become lecturers of practitioners in the Government Science Study Program. He also highlighted the extraordinary achievements recorded by Jisis Unja, where in one year, will be published 12 books related to government and social politics.
"12 books launched in this one-year period are very proud achievements and show that young lecturers at Jisis Unja work,"Said Fauzi Syam.
Besides that, Fauzi Syam gave full support for the efforts of the Faculty of Law and JISIS to make the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) as a stand -alone faculty at Unja.
"We on behalf of the leadership of Unja provide the highest support for the wishes of the Faculty of Law, lecturers and students to make the Department of Social and Political Sciences into a stand -alone faculty,"He said.
Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Usman, S.H., M.H., welcome this public lecture activity as an opportunity to gain new experience and knowledge. He emphasized that the speakers presented in this activity were experts who had extraordinary experience in the field of environmental policies.
"Hopefully this activity provides useful blessings and new knowledge, one of the speakers, Dr. H. Sudirman, S.H., M.H., will soon join as a lecturer in the Government Study Program, and starting next semester, He will teach here,"Said Dr.. Usman.
Head of the Department of Social and Political Sciences (Joseph), Rio Yusri Maulana, S.IP., M.I.Pol., Ph. D., said this activity was a year -end closing activity from the entire series of public lectures and guest lectures held at Jisis.
Rio Yusri Maulana also said that Jisis was in preparation for the re -establishment of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) under the guidance of the Dean of the Faculty of Law, and are trying gradually to be able to make this happen.
"This year, The first step we take is to carry out the accreditation process of the two selected study programs, the following year, We will reakReded in the hope of becoming a study program with superior accreditation and continuing with the formation of three new study programs namely International Relations Study Program, Digital Communication Study Program and Sociology Study Program, With the addition of this new study program, expected in the year 2026-2027 can apply for the establishment of FISIP,"Close Rio Yusri Maulana.
